Thomas Hope Style Ebonised & Water Gilded Torchere SofaType_Other making it a perfect additionAn early 19th century style ebonised and water gilded torchere, specially commissioned after an original Thomas Hope design in our archives. The inset round top in black marble with grey veining is surrounded with intricate carving and ebonised frieze below with applied carving. A finely carved central column is surrounded by four supports terminating in lion paw feet, on a plinth base with applied hand carved swans which stands on four block feet.
