Grant, her son, decided she was getting carried away and put a fence around it (he said it was to keep out the deer). She promptly roto tilled 4 feet of new garden space OUTSIDE the fence and carried on. I was blessed to grow up under the care of 2 master gardeners; my mother Verna, and 1 4 mile away, Aunt Shirley. These 2
