Desert Sentries I Notecards This Zinnia is from myWatercolor on canvas 20 x 60 The saguaro cactus is a rare species, occurring naturally only in the Sonoran Desert. These giants tower over the landscape, providing shelter and a lofty perspective for native birds. Gila Woodpeckers and Owls make their nests inside the spines and Grey Doves, Quail and Cactus wren are often seen perched on the arms.
