In the spring of 2014

I headed back to San Diego a different way as I made my way through the agriculture fields of the valley

I was driving home on a November afternoon and as I approached Sloans Lake noticed the sunset over my shoulder and how the rays were filtering through and lighting up the sky

It was at this moment where you can say having an alarm go off at 3:00am was worth it as I was provided with a colorful start to the weekend

Colors of a Radiator Size:20"x30" In the spring of 2014The various colors on this radiator is what caught my eye and was the first object in the salvage yard I photographed. Lining up the colors so they would fill the frame in a compelling way sometimes means having your tripod in a tight space but fortunately on this image it wasn't too much of an issue. For me the bands of colors tells the story of this piece with the paint and rust.
