I started 2017 in Juneau

Late in the month we did get some snow and I headed out to the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver to photograph

As I flew into Salt Lake from the northwest I found the colors of the mineral ponds an interesting featuring to photograph

Using the conditions I spent a good amount of time photographing from the shoreline and capturing the mood

Waves and the Beach Presentation:Matted I started 2017 in JuneauThe use of a dock helps provides different perspectives when photographing waves along the beach. When I was in a small village in the Faroe Islands I was able to take advantage of this dock or pier. Being elevated over the water let me photograph down, but also close to the water itself. The longer shutter speed caught some motion, but not too much so there are still the sharp edges of the water being seen in the image.
