Over the city there was clouds but as you looked out towards the mountains it was blue sky

I saw the first signs of light starting to shine on the sign at the train station capturing this scene under blue skies on a chilly morning

As this late afternoon light streamed through

Due to the location of the park it closes at 5:00 PM

Sunrise over Denver Size:18"x24" Over the city there wasDuring the equinox there had been smoke from fires in the west as well as some much needed rain in Denver. Last week I took advantage of the clear skies to capture sunrise over Denver. At this time of the year the view from Sloans Lake allows the sun to rise directly over the buildings in downtown Denver. Preparing for this at the western edge of the park I position myself close to where I felt the sun would be over the city when creating this image.
