Art Nouveau Dutch Brass Coal Scuttle, c1900 a Government approved valuer underA substantial Dutch solid brass coal scuttle dating to the late 1890's to early 1900. Finely crafted from a single cut sheet of brass and secured with a front central riveted seam. The vessel is fitted with twin handles and distinguished by an embossed stylised Nouveau motif to the body, further embellished with a clover form frieze and a complementary decorative band encircling the base. An integrated L shaped balancing bracket is thoughtfully
