Theyre dyed with bengala iron oxide, which is what first caught my attention. Its rare to find tsutsugaki panels dyed this way, and the color really drew me in. I was especially drawn to the tattered areas, particularly around the family crest. The fabric is so worn that I imagine it must have been hung outside for years to reach that level of distress.
