Antique Carved Swiss Black Forest Dog and Hunt Theme Plaque is a Towel Holder, Rack Edwardian English The worked needlepoint is 29"I made a trip to our warehouse this week and came home with 2 crates of wonderful antiques I'd forgotten we even owned. This does happen. This one is a 19th century carved Black Forest hunt theme plaque mounted into a wall hanging towel rack. It's charming as can be, dates c. 1880 1910 or so, shows a hunting hound and grouse, several bunnies set into a cutaway forest scene. That plaque is in a walnut looking stain, lighter in color than the background
