Height of fashion in dress, jewelry and hairstyle. Bold in her pose, she knew she was in top form, didn't she. She would have sat for the artist in early 1830s, likely Paris. She is still in her original frame, under original convex cover glass, and is still a head turner. The wafer is 3. 5" x 3" oval, her face in this amazing painting is only 1" from chin to hairline.
